Chill, Chat, & Connect:

Parents and Youth, join us for Middle School Community Group Ice Cream Social Meet & Greet—a laid-back chance to hang out, enjoy sweet treats, and get to know each other better.

Location: Apostles Church, Fellowship Hall

Date: Friday, July 25th

Time: 6-7:30pm

We’ll have some games, music, journal decorating (for the youth)—and of course, plenty of ice cream

with all the toppings. Whether you’re new

to the group or already part of the crew,

this is a great time for parents and youth

to meet our volunteers and pastors and

learn about the upcoming year, as well as

to make connections with one another! We

hope to see you there!

Art Exhibit: Kurt Caddy

Through our partnership with Creo Arts, Apostles has once again been gifted with a beautiful and thought-inspiring show by an extraordinary artist, Kurt Caddy.

Kurt and his wife live on a farm in Missouri, and it is this place that provides him the deep springs of inspiration. For Kurt, art is an outward expression of a deeper and inward reality.

Kurt’s abstract paintings are “punctuated with exaggerated textures and vibrant, rich colors, and metal leaf. He experiments with multiple substrates such as canvas, home-made papers, polystyrene, wood, concrete and even barn tin. He uses things like knives, screwdrivers, jar lids, torches and builds up layers of texture by adding mortar, sand, and even ashes to add depth and a sense of wear and tear through time to a piece… Then multiple layers of thinned paint are added to achieve a depth of color that paint directly from a tube can never achieve.”

Through Kurt’s process, he hopes to bring forth beauty from the brokenness and his art “can help portray the idea of a redeemed beauty and transformation is indeed possible.”

All are invited to pause, reflect and enjoy this show.
