Responding to the Eastern Kentucky Flooding

Our hearts are heavy with the news of the loss of life and destruction of homes and schools and so much more in eastern Kentucky.

Let us pray for those suffering grief over death of loved ones and those who have lost homes and such. Pray for those first responders as they work in this initial emergency phase.

We will take up an offering on Sunday as a beginning way to help with our resources.

I have been in conversation with the Director of the Anglican Relief and Development Fund. I have committed Apostles to be a connecting church for Anglican resources. I am also contacting 2 churches in the affected area. I am in the early hours of learning how we can help.

I am hopeful that we may send teams to serve in different ways in the weeks ahead. We will partner with others as much as we can.

Please pray and consider how you might be able to help.
